Contact glues are ideal for bonding flexible materials such as rubber, leather, linoleum, carpet and plastic laminates to rigid supports, such as wood, metal, plaster, gypsum and ceramic.
They also offer the same excellent results for bonding flexible materials together.
The name is due to the fact that by placing the two surfaces to be glued “in contact” and applying moderate pressure, effective and immediate gluing is obtained.
The contact glue must be applied to both surfaces to be glued and these must be dry and clean from dust and any other processing residue.
It has a liquid or semi-dense appearance and depending on its density you can choose a brush, a spatula or an airbrush for its application.
Contact glues must be stored in a well-ventilated, dry environment and at room temperature (not exceeding 20°C).
